“I am the Video Media teacher at Mark Twain. I teach 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Gifted and Talented Video Media classes, along with Media Enrichment classes for children who are not in the Media Talent program. My students learn to make things such as stop-motion animations, create commercial advertisements, and horror/suspense films. It is also the responsibility of my older students to document (on video) all of the events that occur throughout the school. They focus on skills such as visual storytelling, proper camera use, filming techniques, and digital video editing on the computers. The equipment that is necessary for me to teach this class is very expensive, and often needs to be repaired and/or updated. Any donations would be greatly appreciated! ”
