“Our class is comprised of 12 students, one teacher, and (at least) one paraprofessional. Because we are a K-2 class, we are lucky to have the input of kinders, 1st, and 2nd graders! The special needs of our students vary. We have students with speech and language impairments, emotional and behavioral difficulties, developmental delays, autism, and mental retardation. Therefore, it is important that we have a variety of teaching tools and materials that can accomodate our unique needs. That being said...we like reading, math, art, and recess just as much as our neighbors! ”
