I teach in a computer classroom that is used eight periods a day. Custodians do not clean the keyboards, desk surfaces or mouses. I buy the supplies necessary to do this and clean everything myself during after school hours. I also purchase a steady supply of hand sanitizer for my students to use. They are all very apprehensive about H1N1 and greatly appreciate the steps I'm trying to take to keep them safe and healthy. I already spend hundreds of dollars of my own money each year on supplies. We are an art department desperate to be able to print color outputs of our students' digital work. Every one of our course offerings from 8th grade through 12th grade has a digital component written into the curriculum, but we have no ability for color output en masse. Students work so hard on these projects and it would mean so much to be able to print them a color copy of their efforts for them to take home and display. Learn more »
