“My class is a Kindergarten class in Cleveland Metropolitan School District. We are 100% eligible for the free lunch/breakfast program. We have between 22 and 25 students in our clase each year. Our classroom runs off the New Kindergarten style. Our goal is 100% reading by end of the year. This year we met 50% reading. Another unique trait of our class is we utilize the Responsive Classroom philosophy which emphasizes communityness and teaching respect and responsibility. Twelve years ago, we were a Comnputech school with a technology focus. I have been trained to integrate technology utilizing various medias but with the districts funding changes over the years we have lost the equipment to keep this technology focus. ”

We could use this for integrating all subjects will gross motor/physical fitness. I had one in a private school and my class used it for sight word games, and bean bag games for our colors and numbers. There is a whole book of classroom ideas for a parachute that I would like to use. Learn more »
Our school received a technology grant that gave my classroom 4 computers. Many of the activitiies and projects can be utilized with partners. The Audio splitters would allow our computer center to double the student participation. Allowing each student to benefit twice as much! Learn more »
We recently moved into one of Cleveland's new buildings. Due to them having funding for just the state model, no maps or globes were purchased. Online maps aren't developmentally appropriate for 5-6 year olds to learn about the world. Learn more »
