“Hi. I am a fifth grade teacher in a wonderful school in Long Island City. I have been teaching for eleven years and I find that every year I run out of essential supplies that I buy in the beginning of the year, like, loose leaf paper, markers, crayons, scissors, etc. Because of all the budget cuts this year it is becoming difficult for the school to supply all these things for us. It is imperative that our students have the proper materials to be able to learn to their fullest potential. As the year goes on the art supplies also dwindle. Our class is in great need of tissue paper, glitter, glue, construction paper, pipe cleaners and any other art supplies that would enable our students to express their artistic ability.
