Our Story
This is Mr. Hyman's 12th year teaching, his 11th year at P.S.101. Mr. Hyman is a permanently certified, tenured teacher and has also taught 5th and 6th grade.
In 2006, Mr. Hyman took over the technology program at P.S.101Q, connecting conventional teaching with the use of technology. The technology program at PS101Q uses technology and computers as a learning tool. We explore the web, get to know programs like Microsoft Office (Word, Publisher, Excel and Power Point), and use technology for test prep purposes and student data (Scantron Performance Series). In addition, the program combines traditional teaching with the technology of today by using SMART Boards to work on reading and math skills.
Of course, we all know how expensive technology can be so any help and support is greatly appreciated. From maintaining our Virtual Media Center Web Page to investing in additional SMART Boards and classroom computers / laptops, technology is a tough act to keep up with - especially when it can be at a high cost.
