The Sgt. York Patriotic Foundation (SYPF) serves to continue historical research, preserve the artifacts and papers of Sgt. Alvin C. York, develop and coordinate educational opportunities for youth and adults, increase sustainable heritage tourism through operation of the York General Store and Visitors Center at Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historical Park, which includes Sgt. York's home, farm and grist mill, and restore the 1920's-era historic York Institute building for a multiuse educational facility.
