We have all had a few great teachers inspire and make a lasting impression on us. Those who wrote recommendation letters to get us into college deserve special appreciation.
It seems appropriate then, as college commences, to take just a minute to say "thank you". Even if it's just an email, we know how much they will appreciate it.
They will be especially delighted if you also let them know of ClassWish.org, a new nonprofit that helps teachers get the classroom resources they need—without spending their own money.
Thanking a teacher is easy. This site provides a draft letter, which you can edit as you see fit. Just copy it into an email or print and mail it (your school website has an address and either teachers' email addresses or a main email that will forward notes to teachers).
It just takes a minute to show your gratitude—far less time than they spent helping you get you where you are.
Best Wishes and Good Luck!
